TipDeck — Support

TipDeck is a private, offline ledger for tipped work. You log a shift in a few seconds,
it shows you what you actually made per hour, and it keeps your own record of the tips you
entered — shift by shift, with the date you entered them. No account, no ads, no
subscription. Everything stays on your device.
Record-keeping, not tax advice. TipDeck totals the amounts you type in.
It does not decide what any of them mean for your taxes, and it is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, or approved by any tax authority. Ask a tax professional what applies to you.
The three tabs
- Tonight — tap + when a shift ends and enter your
hours, cash tips, card tips and tip-out paid. Save, and your real hourly rate for
that shift lands on screen immediately while the week total moves.
- Ledger — every shift you have entered, by month, with the analysis:
cash versus card, which nights and which jobs actually pay, and year over year.
- Tax record — your yearly totals of what you entered, plus the export.
TipDeck starts from your device's region; if you keep your record somewhere else, you
can change that under Settings → Where you work.
Purchase & unlocking
- What does it cost?
- A single one-time purchase of US$14.99 unlocks the full app. There is
no subscription, no renewal and no recurring charge, ever.
- Can I try it first?
- Yes. Saving shifts is free through your third shift, so you see your own real numbers
before you decide.
- What stays free after that?
- Viewing, editing and deleting everything you already entered, filling in your details
in Settings, and CSV export of your own entries — free whether you
unlock or not. The unlock adds unlimited new shifts, the Ledger analysis, and the
dated PDF record.
- I bought it on another device / reinstalled and it's locked.
- Tap Restore Purchase — it is on the unlock screen and also in
Settings. Your one-time unlock is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free.
Exporting your record
- How do I get my data out?
- Open the Tax record tab and choose Export. The CSV is a plain
spreadsheet of every shift you entered — free, always. The PDF is a dated, printable
copy of your yearly record laid out for a tax preparer, and is part of the unlock.
- What are "Your details" in Settings for?
- Your name, address, employer and establishment print at the top of the PDF record, so
the document says whose it is. Every line is optional; left empty, the record simply
starts with the date. Your address is never in the CSV, and it leaves your device only
inside a PDF you share yourself.
- Where do exported files go?
- They are handed to the iOS share sheet — save them to Files, email them, or send them
wherever you like. TipDeck deletes its copy as soon as the share sheet closes.
Your data & privacy
TipDeck stores your shifts and settings only on your device. It has no accounts, no
servers, and no analytics or tracking — in fact it contains no networking code at all.
Nothing you enter is ever sent to us or to anyone else. Full details are in the
Privacy Policy.
Common questions
- Does it work offline?
- Always. TipDeck is fully on-device and never needs an internet connection.
- How do I back up or move my data?
- Use the free CSV export to save a copy of your entries wherever you like. There is no
cloud sync, so the CSV is your backup.
- I deleted a job by mistake — did I lose its shifts?
- No. Removing a job never deletes the shifts you logged under it; the shifts keep the
job's name.
- Can I track more than one job?
- Yes — add each job, and the Ledger will show you how they compare.
- Something looks wrong. What should I include in a bug report?
- Settings → Troubleshooting shows a few counters stored on your device. Quoting those,
along with what you tapped, helps a lot.
